Not rating, not promotion, not who paid. Distance, because for home food that is the only ranking that means anything - and a neighbour you can walk to is a neighbour you buy from twice.

These are not settings. They are built into the database, and no account can write its way around them.
A maker gives their block, never their floor or unit. Published distance rounds to 100 m and never reports below 500 m, so nobody can triangulate a flat by moving around and watching the number change.
You pay the maker at handover, after you have seen the food. No deposits, no escrow, no card on file. Any message asking you to pay first is flagged automatically.
MUIS certifies premises, and a home kitchen almost never holds one. Makers declare ingredients. The word halal appears only where a real certificate was checked.
A listing that declared nothing never appears under a dietary filter, and the page says plainly that the maker did not answer.
A review exists only after a real collection. Promotion buys reach and is always labelled. It never buys a badge, a star or a better place in its own band.
Three readings from three places would locate a flat by arithmetic, so the exact metres never leave the database. Drag the handle and watch the two numbers come apart.
The search radius is quantised for the same reason. It snaps to nine fixed rungs, so nobody can widen it a metre at a time and read the answer off the boundary.

Xiaozao asks every maker to confirm those five conditions before their first listing, and keeps that confirmation with the date. It is a record, not legal advice, and it does not replace checking the current SFA guidance yourself.

The exact distance is used inside the database to sort the list, and only a rounded band ever leaves it. The search radius snaps to fixed steps for the same reason, so it cannot be used as a measuring tape.
Xiaozao does not cook, handle, store or inspect any food. The agreement is between you and the maker. Tell customer service, and tell the maker: reports become strikes, and strikes end an account. Ask about allergies yourself rather than relying on a listing alone.
Yes, and it works in both directions at once. Neither of you appears to the other anywhere in the app, and the person you blocked is never told. There is deliberately no way to ask who has blocked you.
From the You tab, or from the deletion page on this site without reinstalling anything. Deletion is scheduled seven days out and you can cancel it at any point inside that week. Reviews you left on other kitchens stay, with your name removed, so that leaving does not quietly rewrite somebody else's rating.
